Fingers numb from morning chill, but oh what a gorgeous morning - all chirpy, brightest blue, and best of all, NO WIND!!! This is my last day in sleepy little Raglan, and I’ll spend part of it gathering provisions for the increased seclusion of Solscape, an “eco-retreat” centre up the coast. I’ll have a week there, to root deeper into meditation practice and, dear-gods-please, surf.
I have been feeling self-conscious and uneasy about the deeply personal nature of my blogposts thus far - this first week of travel has been so very internal. I’m going to “own it” though, as K put it, and continue writing and posting whatever it is that I need to. Some will find value therein, others will move on. Simple, no? We humans travel for many different reasons and in many different manners, but whatever we see and wherever we go, it happens through the lens of our self-ness, and surely part of what we hope to discover is, I think, a new reflection of ourselves. Anyway, finding my footing, and my voice, will be an ongoing process… here’s to the tales of Adventure to come, and in the in-betweens, this Other Journey.
